Marilyn Milloy – Office Administrator
Born and raised in Victoria, Marilyn attended Oak Bay High and the University of Victoria where she majored in Psychology and Art History. She really enjoys being back in the “old neighbourhood”.
Marilyn has spent most of her working life in an administrative capacity. Her first working experience in a law office was at Horne Coupar Manson and Shaw and then continued with Achtem, Alexander. She spent some time with Buckler, Ashurst and now after being in the banking and dental industries for many years, enjoys working once again in the legal field with the wonderful group at Brown Henderson Melbye.
At BHM, Marilyn wears many different “hats” and really enjoys the variety in her work. She has a genuine interest in people, and likes being able to make the visit to the office as comfortable as possible.
The BHM team is cooperative, respectful and conscientious and Marilyn is proud to work in such a positive and forward-thinking law firm. She is most interested in BHM’s collaborative process because it is a more holistic approach to issues. Lawyers consider alternative options, seeking a win-win solution for all the parties involved.
Marilyn has taken webinars to help keep current in her job and one that was particularly relevant and helpful was regarding the psychology behind human nature and keeping those lines of communication open within all areas of work and non-work relationships.
When not at work, Marilyn enjoys getting exercise, yoga, singing in the Victoria Soul Gospel Choir, attending Landmark education seminars, “having her nose in a good book”, spending time with friends and especially being with her family. She loves nothing more than having a good conversation with someone – tossing around ideas and learning what makes people tick.
